So, I've never played a Harvest Moon game before. I've played the closely-related Rune Factory, from 1-5, as well as Stardew Valley and Fields of Mistria, so I decided to try out Harvest Moon while waiting for the next FoM update. I figured DS would have been a good first start, since the Witch Princess is cute and the biggest complaint I could find online was that it was "too similar to Friends of Mineral Town," which should be just fine since I've never played FoMT.

I feel like I probably should have though.

I have no idea who any of these people are, but they apparently know me, and apparently I tried to hit the mayor with a hammer before, so keeping with that track-record I let my dog maul him. The controls feel REALLY weird compared to Rune Factory, and it took me a while to even find out how to use a hoe, and I keep passing out from exhaustion because I can't see my stamina meter, nor can I see my "relationships" with the townspeople.

So what I'm trying to ask is...What's going on? Where am I? Who am I? How do I Harvest Moons? And if I can't marry the cute witch, can I at least bed that guy who look like a mad scientist? 'Cause he looks funny

I thought the one to the right of the star, not sure what it's called, was that spot's current condition and the more it is filled up red, the worse that spot is?

However I just got the two fields above the original one we start the game off with and I just planted for the first time in this field and yet my carrots are already partially filling up that icon next to the star. The other three crops in this same field are all empty for that same icon so I am at a loss what that icon actually means?

Can you obtain at least one star quality crops early game if we don't ever use fertilizer during their growth cycle?

Like, is there a small chance they may still achieve star quality when they mature or it's impossible for them to have a star without ever using fertilizer on them to begin with?

This took like 2 weeks and I was playing this game almost any time I had free time. Now I just need to raise Skye's heart level up but it's like 20,000 left so hopefully I can get married to him before the end of winter

That's my favorite things because they're so random, like for the male, it's mermaid, harvest goddess, and harvest witch, which is somewhat normal. And then for the female farmer, it's Kappa and Gourmet (who takes 8-25+ years to marry).

Why do you suppose there's a hotspring in the Volcano in Winds of Anthos?

If you are looking for seeds there's usually one or two wisps, on a full moon there's up to six wisps and usually a crap ton of seeds I got 81 strawberry seeds on my first full moon night after beating the game. Hope you guys find what you're looking for.

In my opinion The Winds of Anthos is one world with a lot of improvements based on setting and Design.

I'm not sure how to edit it (and I think it's limited to the Wiki Devs/Admins anyway) but I think the Games -> Switch dropdown menu should include SoS:AWL, since a lot of people are probably going to come here for that and it would make it easier to navigate to!!

I, like many, have been searching for information on SOS:AWL and noticed how criminally under-filled out the wiki is and I have, in my own meager way, been adding to it to help out fellow players. I know my formatting may not be to par, but I hope it helps people!
