Affection (GrB)

Affection is a gameplay element in Harvest Moon DS: Grand Bazaar.

Affection measures the friendship level with villagers and animals. Raising affection levels with villagers are required for random events and heart events with the marriage candidates. Raising affection levels with villagers are required to increase the chance of winning an animal festival as well as increasing the star quality of the items animals produce.

Human Affection

All villagers start out with 0 affection points and can be raised to 65,530 affection points. Their affection level is indicated by a number of heart displayed in your bookcase. For marriage candidates (except Emiko and Amir), their affection level is also indicated by a colored heart displayed in their dialogue bubble. It can also be checked their affection level on the Assets menu.

When you reach the appropriate FP point value, a heart will appear next to the villager's name Each of the little heart markers indicate that you have earned 6552 FP with that person:

For the marriage candidates (minus Amir and Emiko), their affection level is indicated by a colored heart displayed next to their portraits. As your friendship points increase, the color of the heart will also increase. The colors the hearts represent are the same point scale as the asset menu.
