Arata (アラタ Arata?) is a character in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar. He is one of the eligible bachelors to court. He was sent by Samir's father to watch over him.
Unlocking[]
Arata first appears once the player has reached the Village Bazaar Rank, where he, Diana and Harold all arrive to settle in Zephyr Town. Arata will instead choose to set up an outdoor camp in the Mountain area and will be found there on every non-holiday.
When the player achieves Town Bazaar rank, he will request the player for some extra food to give him the capacity to open a new stall. Upon completing his request, Arata sets up his stall, building mushroom logs and beehives for the player. After Samir arrives in town, Arata will move in with him into the hotel instead.
Story[]
Arata is wandering vagrant that travels to Zephyr Town after coincidentally meeting Harold and Diana. Arata states that he arrived in town to meet a friend, but sees that his friend had yet to arrive. As a result, Arata, by his own volition, chooses to set up camp in the nearby mountains to train.
As Zephyr Town's Bazaar reaches City Bazaar Rank, Arata finally meets Samir, revealing that he was sent by Samir's family to serve as a bodyguard. After learning that Arata camps outside, Samir has Arata move in with him at the hotel.
