Cats can be bought at Grady's Animals if you own a chick or chicken. They can be in four different colors (Black and White at the start, Brown and Yellow after Spring 1 Year 2), but you can only have two cats maximum.
They can herd chickens and Silkie chickens depending on their friendship level.

- 2 Chickens-280 to 459 FP
- 3 Chickens-460 to 639 FP
- 4 Chickens-640 FP to 819 FP
- 5 Chickens-820 to 1000 FP
Thier friendship can be increased by having them play with the Cat bell, picking them up, using the Stethoscope, putting them in the Pet Playpen on Bluebell Farm or placing at the cat festival (Summer 26 on even numbered years).
