The Cow Festival is a festival in Harvest Moon 64 to see who has raised the best cow in Flowerbud Village. It is held on Fall 4.
The day before the festival, Doug from the Green Ranch will stop by and ask if the player if they want to submit one of their (non-sick) adult cows. To increase the chances on winning, the player must have their cow at a high affection rate (about 240) and must have shipped at least 60 milks from any of the cows they owns. If the player does not have a fully grown cow, they can still go to the festival to judge the milks and interact with the villagers.
The player must head on over to Green Ranch on the festival day between 10am and 5pm. At the end of the festival, if the player wins, their cow will start to produce Golden Milk.
Trivia[]
- If the player wins the festival and has their winning cow outside in the field any day during Fall, the three girls who frequent the festivals will ask for a photo with the player and their cow, which will be added to the player's photo album.
- Also by winning the Cow Festival, Doug will show up on Fall 5 between 5pm and 9pm and invite the player to celebrate their win. Doing so increases Doug's affection and ends the day (the game will NOT be saved).
