The Cow Festival is a yearly festival that takes place in Harvest Moon DS: Sunshine Islands.
It is a yearly festival held on Fall 5. On Fall 4, Mirabelle will visit the player's farm in the morning to take a cow for the competition the following day. Any healthy adult cow that is not pregnant can be entered. If you do not own a cow to enter, Mirabelle still encourages you to come and watch.
On Fall 5, the festival is held on Meadow Island between 10am and 6pm. Speak to Mirabelle to begin the judging. A cow is required to have 8 hearts or more to be declared the winner. A cow who wins first place in the festival will begin to produce s-rank milk, which will unlock jersey cows. The player will receive 1,000 farm degree points, a colored Wonderful and 700FP with everybody attending the festival for a first place win. Winning second place or lower will only result in Wonderful pieces as a prize.
After the festival is over, Mirabelle will return your cow to the barn.
