Dogs can be bought at Grady's Animals if you own a lamb/Sheep for the small dog or calf/Cow. They can be in four different colors per size (For small dogs they are Black and Beige at the start, Gray and Brown after Spring 1 Year 2) (For large dogs they have Blue and Green bows at the start, Red and White after Spring 1 Year 2), but you can only have four dogs maximum (2 small and 2 large).
Small Dogs will herd Sheep, Suffolk Sheep, Brown Alpacas, and White Alpacas Big Dogs will herd Cows and Jersey Cows How many they can herd depends on their friendship level.

- 2 Animals-280 to 459 FP
- 3 Animals-460 to 639 FP
- 4 Animals-640 FP to 819 FP
- 5 Animals-820 to 1000 FP
Thier friendship can be increased by having them play with the dog bone, picking them up, using the Stethoscope, putting them in the Pet Playpen on Bluebell Farm or placing at the dog festival (Summer 26 on odd numbered years).
