The Dog Race is an bi-annual event that takes place in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope and Harvest Moon: Light of Hope SE Complete. This festival takes place on Summer 20th and Winter 20th between 10 am and 3:59pm if the player has a dog.
Run to the finish line as your dog follows. If your dog stops following, run back toward him until he starts to follow again. The first dog to cross the finish line wins. The dog is more likely to follow the player for longer if they have a higher affection with the player.

If you win the Contest in a certain class, the next class will unlock. The prizes you can earn for each class and the points required to win are detailed in the below table.
