Emiko (カゲツ Kagetsu?) is a special marriage candidate in Harvest Moon DS: Grand Bazaar.

A mysterious maiden who lives behind the waterfall, Emiko is well-hidden and maintains the water shrine in a secret world that most people can't get to. She is a timid person, and since her duty with the shrine is a solitary task, she enjoys when the player visits her.

The path to Emiko's water shrine cannot be accessed until your second year in the game. Leave your farm area on a non-rainy day between 9pm and 2am to discover something unusual with the waterfall behind Lloyd's house.[1] As you investigate the waterfall, you will observe a path leading through it, then meet Emiko for the first time. The player will not be able to enter her shrine on rainy days and in winter.

Heart Events[4][]

Purple Heart Event

Enter the waterfall shrine between 5pm and 7pm on a sunny, cloudy, or snowy day. Emiko at a purple heart or higher and you have given her 30 or more gifts. Emiko is surprised that the player gives her so many gifts, and she wonders if they are generous. If the second option is chosen, Emiko thanks the player for their gifts and would like to know where those are found.

Blue Heart Event

Enter the waterfall shrine between 5pm and 7pm on a sunny, cloudy, or snowy day. Emiko is at a blue heart or higher and her purple heart event has been seen previously. In addition, the player has given her 50 or more gifts and unlocked the second crop field.

Emiko asks that the player has such a gentle aura, so she is curious to know what you do. She does not understand what a "farm" is, so the player should show her some things they do like watering crops and planting seeds. Emiko figures that must be tough to be responsible for so many animal lives.

If the first option is chosen, Emiko guesses that the animals the player is taking care of must feel the same towards them. Selecting the second option will make Emiko pleased with the player's positive attitude, then reminds them to never lose their compassion.

Yellow Heart Event

Walk from Farm Area into the Waterfall Area between 12am (midnight) and 2am on a sunny or cloudy day. This event cannot be triggered in Winter season. Emiko must have a yellow heart or higher and her previous symbol events have been viewed. In addition, the player must give her 80 gifts or more. Emiko has decided that she wants to go outside and look at the world that the player has talked about, but she is afraid to go herself.

If the first option is chosen, the two of them will go outside. Emiko is amazed by what she sees, and thinks everything is very pretty, including the spirits of living things. She thanks the player for accompanying her and hopes to see them again soon.

Other Events[]

Emiko's Fortune-telling[5]

In Spring, Summer, and Fall, enter the waterfall shrine between 6and 8on a sunny or cloudy day. This event can be viewed anytime, but is available beginning with Year 2 when Emiko has 40,000 FP or more. Emiko offers to use the water to tell the player's fortune about useful hints on how to be a better farmer, which they can accept or decline.
