Like other games in its series, Harvest Moon: Magical Melodyhas numerous festivals throughout the year. A majority of these festivals require the player to place a particular item in the town square donation box to support the festival. Failing to do so will result in the festival being canceled.
Spring 1: New Year's - It is not possible to attend this festival on year one. If you attend you get the Spring Footsteps Note.
Spring 8: Egg Festival - This festival requires you to place an Egg dish in the collection box. If you attend you get the Egg Dish Note.
Spring 17:Spring Horse Race - You can enter one of the races if you own a horse. If you win for the first time you get the Horse Race Note
Spring 23: Flower Festival - This festival requires you to place a Flower in the collection box. The next day the entire area will be filled with various colored blooms and you can meet Lyla. If you attend you get the Spring Fragrance Note.
Spring 28: Cow Festival - A cow eligible for the contest must be an adult cow who is not sick. Festival starts after 9 am. If you win you get the Moo Note.
Summer Festivals[]
Summer 3: Beach Festival - You can participate in a mini game and meet Nami during this even. If you win you get the Blue Sea, White Clouds Note.
Summer 7: Starry Night Festival - If you attend with villager with the highest level of affection you get the Boat Sailing Note
Summer 15 - Firefly Festival - This festival requires you to place a Moonstone in the collection box. If you attend before midnight you get the Firefly Flower Note
Summer 24: Firework Festival - If you attend before midnight you get the Fireworks Note
Summer 29: Sheep Festival - To enter a sheep it must not be sheared or sick. Festival starts after 9 am. If you win you get the Baa Note.
Fall Festivals[]
Fall 8: Moon Viewing Festival - If you attend with the marriage candidate with the highest level of affection you get the Moon Viewing Note
Fall 17:Fall Horse Race - You can enter one of the races if you own a horse. If you win for the first time you get the Horse Race Note
Fall 24: Harvest Festival - This festival requires you to place one of your Crops into the collection box. If you attend you get the Harvest Note
Fall 30: Pumpkin Festival - This festival requires you to place a Pumpkin in the collection box. Doing so for the first time gives you a Power Berry from Theodore on the day of the festival and the Pumpkin.
Winter Festivals[]
Winter 7: Chicken Festival - A chicken eligible for the contest must be an adult chicken who is not sick. Festival starts after 9 am. If you win you get the Cock-A-Doodle-Doo Note
Winter 12: Thanksgiving - Everyone is told to give cake to each other. You can give cake to other villagers or receive cake from villagers who have 3 or more hearts. If you get 5 cakes during Thanksgiving you get the Popular Note
Winter 19: Fire Festival - This festival requires you to put a Wooden Stake in the collection box. If you attend you get the Flame Note
Winter 24: Starry Night - If you attend with the marriage candidate with the highest level of affection you get the Starlight Note
Winter 30: Year End - The sprites give you a choice of the top three candidates to go with to the festival. If you attend with the marriage candidate with the highest level of affection you get the New Year's Sunrise Note
