The Elder (エルダー Erutā? lit. Elter) is a character in Harvest Moon GBC3. He is a wise old man who knows many stories and legends, which he tell the people of the town and mainland. He also serves as a pastor and officiates the player's wedding.
He can be found standing to the right of the church on the island everyday when it is sunny, however he will not be there when it is rainy and is thus inaccessible.

The Red Lake (Part 1)
- Requirements: Talk to Elder between 9am and 12pm on Fall 24.
The elder will direct you to the lake in the center of the forest, saying something interesting may be there. Arrive to find the lake is painted red instead of it's normal blue. Talk to Elder again and he will explain that a great sailor once sunk in a great storm, which his girlfriend followed him into. Many years later he returned and, hearing about his girlfriend he went into the lake.
