In Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns, it is possible for the player to have a child after marriage. Their gender is randomly selected at birth; to obtain a specific gender, you must reset the game until you get the desired gender. The child's physical appearance is based on your spouse.

In the morning after 40 days have passed since pregnancy, the wife will feel unwell. The couple will go to White Capsule to witness the childbirth. Once a crying sound is heard, you can pick one of three names suggested by each spouse or name them yourself. Pregnancy lasts for about 40 days, and it takes around 20 more days for them to learn to crawl. They will be fully-grown 50 days later.
