Fishing is a very important activity in Harvest Moon. Your catch will vary depending on where you fish, there are basically 3 fishing locations:
- One is located on the Southside of Chesnut Town by Hunters Farm.
- The other is outside town to the south of Gilbert's tent and east of Brutus' house.
- The river streams from the Northwest corner of your farm that ends on a lake at the Southeast corner. In this same area, more fishing locations will become available once two bridges are built to connect your farm to the extended areas to the west and to the south.
How To Fish[]
Tap any nearby spot on the water (this may be lit up with an action grid or remain normal, if you have it disabled). The player will be prompted to use bait. This is optional and only dictates the speed at which things are caught (aside from with Summer's special fish).
After selecting your bait, you will cast your bobber and fish silhouettes should appear. It should be noted that the amount of silhouettes indicates your chance of catching fish - if there are none you will need to recast. The fish will swim around until one stops on the bobber. Shortly after, an '!' will appear above its head and the player must repeatedly tap on the fish to real it in.
