On the morning of fishing festival, Sam will drop by your house and inform you that it is fishing festival and would like to invite you to participate.
Try to participate sharp at 10am as the time will not stop or rollback like previous harvest moon version. Therefore participating early will give you more time to fish for points.
Try to win the first fishing festival. Fishing festival after that is too difficult to win especially in the winter where there have no high scoring fish for you to reach around 500 points. ( The game set that the winning score will come randomly around 500- 570 for the second year you participate the event)
