Foraging is an activity that the player can partake in from the beginning of Harvest Moon: Light of Hope and Harvest Moon: Light of Hope SE Complete.
Foraging for items is an immediate way of making some money without the need of using any tools whatsoever because foraged items will spawn on their own every few days on the mountain and around the lighthouse. Depending on the season, foraging will yield different items.
Foraged Items[]
When foraging for fruits and flowers, there's a generic avatar for fruit (see image below), and another for flowers, so you won't know what you're picking until you get it!

Wild Trees[]
Wild trees will appear naturally in every zone of the island, taking about one full season to grow from a sapling into a mature tree. Then, chopping down a mature tree fully will yield between 2-4 lumber (1 for the stump, and 1-3 for the main tree).
Alternatively, saplings can be bought from Sam's General Store and planted in a checkerboard pattern to grow your own trees.
