Does anybody have any more information about this whole 'ring' business in Tale of Two towns? I know the game isn't out yet, but I'm really curious. I've been told the ring is to initiate dating (not to marry) and that the Blue Feather will still be used for marriage. I wonder if that's true?

It also got me thinking about how it is you obtain the ring. You build furniture rather then buy it in this game, so do you also gather materials for the ring? Rather than buy it, do you have to get it made at the blacksmith's like you would any other piece of jewelery? I'm hoping that getting married and dating isn't going to be a lot of work, as they seem to make it more and more work every single game.

If anybody's heard anything or played the japanese version themselves, it would be appreciated if you'd share to sate my curiosity. :)

Hey ^_^ I think that the ring is for starting dating (According to fogo) and the feather is for marriage. I think that's kind of strange though... I'm not sure how you would obtain it, hopefully it's not too hard. You can also have the person your trying to marry propose to you, but it takes longer. You'd need to give him/her 150 gifts.

Oh okay, I do agree that is kind of strange, but I guess it makes things a bit more realistic (as the game is a simulator), and a bit more challenging. I guess I'll have to see when it comes out, even if I don't own a 3DS yet. T_T

And I'm also kind of glad that they brought back the fact that others can propose to you! Hell, why do you always have to do all of the work! That system hasn't been in place since A Wonderful Life (my favorite game in the series), and I thought it was kind of a nice touch.
