So first of all, I'd like to say that mining in Tree of Tranquility is so much easier, faster and less boring than the system in Friends of Mineral Town; I don't think I ever reached the final floor of either mines in that one.

Anyways, one of the major differences in the mining of ToT is the gases that could potentially be released when you hit a rock, and I have a question about that, specifically, the purple "confusion" gas that makes your character walk in the wrong directions. In all the guides that I've looked, it says that it will do this for "a while", but I've waited for nearly two hours (in game time), and it still hadn't worn off, so I just got impatient and reloaded to an earlier save. So my question is, exactly how long does it take for the gas to wear off? Thanks for reading, HBSig (talk) * (profile) 01:37, April 8, 2012 (UTC)

I think you can get rid of the affects of purple gas by changing levels. Like going up or down. I have had it worn off, but I assumed it was from moving around rather than time. I'm not sure though ^_^

Oh, I see. Thanks Mai! HBSig (talk) * (profile) 16:40, April 10, 2012 (UTC)
