Business
The General Store is open from 9AM to 5 PM. It is closed on Mondays and holidays. A part-time job is available here, and you will be working until 5PM regardless of you starting time.
The General Store, much like Souffle Farm, operates on a three-star farm ranking system, meaning that as your farm prospers, it will gain a higher rank, and with each rank, or star, better items will be sold at the store. You will usually receive a letter notifying you of better items in stock.

Tools
You can buy all tools here at the General Store (provided that you have the previous version of the tool -- e.g., you can only buy a Gold Sickle if you already have the Silver Sickle). It is not recommended that you buy tools from the General Store, seeing as asking Ramsey to upgrade your current tools is much cheaper (About 3 times cheaper, but you do need to find and refine ores).
