Hamilton (ハーバル Hēbaru, lit. Herbal) is a character in Harvest Moon: Animal Parade.
Hamilton is a mayor who runs the Castanet island through his Town Hall office in Harmonica Town He is one of the first characters you'll meet in the opening cutscenes of the game. He gives you the farm that you start the game with, and often checks on your progress. He is also responsible for organizing all of the festivals in town, and will inform your character of any upcoming festivals.
He's always looking for ways to improve the welfare of the island, and to help the villagers. He is very grateful for your character's help in restoring the island. Although Hamilton means well, he's often clumsy and doesn't know how to solve a lot of the island's bigger problems. His son, Gill is much more driven to get to the core issue of the island's problems, and assists his father at Town Hall.
Hamilton can be found in his home in Harmonica Town or at the Town Hall. He attends every festival (with the exception of date festivals).
This event can only occur before you get married. If you're single, leave your house in the evening around 6PM and Hamilton will come to your door. He will tell you he has a birthday surprise for you!
You'll appear at the Mayor's house with some of the town's villagers. They've baked you a cake! All of the villagers will wish you a happy birthday, and they even chipped in to get you a present. The event will end at 10PM.
The only requirement for this event is that you've met the Harvest Goddess. You do not have to be friends with Hamilton. Walk into Hamilton's house after meeting the Harvest Goddess to get this rather hilarious cut scene.
While cleaning his chimney, Hamilton has managed to get himself stuck! Your character arrives and he's thankful that someone is here who can help him. You have the option to sit and do nothing or to pull. If you choose to pull, Hamilton will eventually come out of the chimney safely! He thanks you, and gives you the "Legend of the Bells" book. It reveals clues about the island's bells, and will be put on to your bookshelf.
