Julia (ジュリア, Julia) is a marriage candidate in Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness.
Julia and her mother will arrive on the island around the 12th of Spring in the first year. The two women will set up an animal shop, where you're able to buy livestock to raise, as well as animal merchandise. She is a friendly, flirtatious, and very caring girl. Julia loves every living thing, and will always help an animal in need. She hates fishing, as she believe it's fish cruelty, and will dislike any gift you try to give that has to do with fish.
Julia is an easy bachelorette to befriend, given her large list of liked gifts. She spends most of her time in the animal shop helping her mother, but will also go to the beach and forest during nice weather. She also visits Taro's house, where she can be seen visiting with Elliot, your rival for her affection.

Walk in and you'll find Julia feeding a wild dog. The dog notices you and walks up to you as though it wants to play. Julia is impressed, and asks if you feel it is important to help animals.

Julia is glad that you like animal too. She tells the wild animal to return home and it obeys her command.

Julia thanks you and explains that she had been secretly saving up money to buy a present for her mother, and hiding the money in the bookshelf. Mirabelle then walk into the shop and asks why Julia is standing by the bookshelf. There's no real reason why, so she things you two are strange and then goes into the kitchen. Julia thanks you for not telling.

Well, you don't understand anything! She feels that you don't even understand a woman's heart. Mirabelle will come in and ask why you guys are standing there, and Julia informs her that you were just leaving to go back to work. She escorts you out of the shop.

Julia is a little embarrased about making such a fuss. Mirabelle will come in and ask her daughter why she is standing by the bookshelf. Oh for no perticular reason, right? You don't really say anything and Massell thinks the both of you are strange. She leave for the kitchen, and Julia is releaved that her secret wasn't revealed.

As you walk down the path you'll run into Julia storming out of her house. It seems one of their animals has escaped and it is important that they find it. She pleads for you to help search with her.

The two of you head off to find the animal. It couldn't of gotten very far, and it doesn't take you long to find the escaped chicken. After some chasing you catch the bird and return it to Julia.

Inside of Chen's shop, Natalie and Julia are doing some shopping. It looks like Julia has found an item to buy, but Natalie is hesitant due to how expensive it is. Julia notices that you've also come to do some shopping, and tells you that she's here to buy the present for her mom. She lead you over to the shelves and asks which of the items you like better, since she is having a hard time deciding.

You seem to have walked into the middle of a conversation between the two ladies. Mirabelle tells you that she just heard an unbelievable story from her daughter. Julia insists that going to bed early and waking up early is not strange. The two of them just do not see eye to eye.

Mirabelle also doesn't understand. Julia hopes you won't laugh, and Mirabelle tells her that they won't laugh at the reason why she insists on going to bed early. Julia finally says the reason why she insists on early bedtime is because a body might get injured.
That's the reason? Mirabelle starts laughing anyway, even though she had said that she wouldn't. Mirabelle chuckles at her daughter's youthful ideas, and tell her that too much sleep will destroy a balanced body. It can be counter-productive to sleep so much. Julia understands and says she'll stop going to be so early.

Julia has come for a visit, and invites you to go jogging with her down at the beach.

You both jog down to the beach, and she teases you on how slow you are. She use to do this every morning, but since coming to the island she's been too busy with work. Julia begins to think about the friends she left behind, and hopes that they're well. She figures they wouldn't imagine what it's like to live on an island. They all use to get together at their local cake shop weekly, but she can't leave because of her work.

Julia will meet up with you as you exit your farm. She's glad she met up with you, as she had heard from Vaughn that he saw a wild dog in the forest. Their livestock are fine, but she is still worried. Julia wants to know if your animals are okey, which they are. She is glad to hear that and she plans to tell her mother.
Julia doesn't leave though, and the accompanying silence is awkward. She playfully wonders if you have noticed anything and blushes, but you just continue to stand there trying to figure out what she wants. Eventually she figures you haven't noticed and walks away disappointed.

Near the shoreline, Julia will be watching the waves by herself. She know you are there but she doesn't turn around at all when she asks how your farm is doing. Ask her if she has gotten a hair cut. Julia is surprised and asks you to repeat what you said. Oop, maybe the correct answer was to mention that she let her hair grow out. Tell her that instead and she will be very happy that you finally has noticed what she was trying to hint at the last time you met. Although you are quite slow to notice, especially since you just asked her if she had her hair cut just a moment ago!
Do you really mean what you have said? Of course you have, which makes her happy. Julia invites you to have some tea with her and the two of you leave.
The event ends back at your house on the same day.

Julia is a little far behind on her work, so Elliot offers to help her. Julia feels it's her own fault that she's so far behind and so she shouldn't accept any assistance. Elliot argues that everyone on the island should work together. Mirabelle overhears their conversation and agrees with Elliot. Mirabelle suggests that her daughter let Elliot help, and Julia gratefully accepts his help.

Julia is inside thanking Elliot for his help with the work. She's brought him a reward and requests that he eat it all. Elliot thanks her and then apologizes for the other day. His sister overhears Eliot and asks what happened. Julia explains that Elliot had fallen down, scattering the contents of a merchandise box.
Natalie asks her brother why he keeps going to help. Julie lets her know that it was tough collecting everything up but thanks to Elliot, they noticed their inventory was low and were able to contact their supplier. Natalie wonders if the day when her brother's blunders were actually of some use has arrived, but thinks the situation might of been because of the earthquake that occurred the other day.
Elliot gives a glare to his sister, but Julia just giggles and thanks Elliot anyway.

Elliot is deep in thought, and tells Julia that at first he was worried about making mistakes with his work but now he's okay. Julia says she was also worried but they've been able to help each other out. She and her mother might not have turned out so well. Elliot tells her not to say such things. Julie is uneasy every day, but Elliot says that he's been happy since she came to the island. His statement makes Julia happy.

Elliot seems to be nervous around Julia, who tells him it isn't very busy today at the shop. Is his work any busier? Elliot isn't visiting to talk about work, but he gathers his courage and asks her to marry him!
Julia is very surprised and her silence bothers Elliot. He sadly apologizes for his abrupt request and assumes that he isn't good enough. Right as he begins to leave she stops him. His proposal was quite sudden and she didn't understand it, but now she does. Julia doesn't dislike Elliot at all! The two of them are very happy.

If she is not married she will marry Elliot and in 30 days she will feel sick. Dr. Trent will say she is pregnant and in 60 days she will go to the city with Elliot for 30 days. She will then give birth to a daughter named Kelly.
