Kana (キリク Kiriku? lit. Kilik) is a bachelor in Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns.
Active and laid-back, Kana loves exercise and often talks about having fun during festivals. He loves all animals, especially horses, and has a horse named Hayate whom he talks about often. Most of the requests that he puts on the request board will be for his horse. Despite working at the local pet shop in Konohana, Kana not only sells pets, but also rents horses and horse carts. His store has the same inventory as Grady's Animals in Bluebell Town.

Marriage Requirements[]
Kana has no family or very close friends living with him, so you don't need to befriend anyone else in order to marry him. Besides the normal requirements, Kana has a reverse proposal which can be done by raising his FP to 65,000; that means you must continue giving him gifts when he has 60,000 FP. After taking him to any date location that he likes, Kana will ask you something very important. Both of them will appear in front of the Goddess Pond, where he will show you a blue feather and ask you to marry him. If you say yes, the duo will get married one week later; rejecting him will lose 15,000 FP.

Flower Events[]
Purple Flower Event
Speak to Kana between 11am and 4pm on a sunny/snowy Friday or Saturday, as long as he has a purple flower or higher. On the bridge, Kana asks if the player has a horse and likes it. Choosing the first option will make Kana happy that the player likes horses, and invites themto take a look at his best one, Hayate.
Blue Flower Event
Walk into Kana's Animal shop between 11am and 4pm on a sunny, snowy, or rainy Friday/Saturday. Kana is at blue flower or higher and his purple flower event have been viewed.
Kana introduces the player to his favorite horse, Hayate who has made friends with him since Kana was young, but they did not get along at first so it took about 3 seasons became friends. He figures they were probably too reckless when they were younger.
If the first option is chosen, Kana says the two of them are more like brother and sister than friends; Hayate is an irreplaceable member of Kana's family. With Hayate agreeing, Kana is glad he was able to introduce the player to his horse and suggests they come back sometime.
Green Flower Event
Walk into Kana's Animal Shop on a sunny, cloudy, or snowy Friday/Saturday, between 11am and 4pm. Kana has a green flower or higher and his Purple and Blue flower events have been viewed.
While noticing the horse statue in Kana's shop, he tells the player that it was made by his father. When he was young, Kana's father would get angry at him if he played around the statue. His father loves horses and has searched the world looking for a good one. Kana assumes he is fine, but worries a little bit about him. If the first option is chosen, Kana admits he should not feel un-easy, causing him to blush a little bit. He then changes the subject and invites the player to meet with Hayate before they go home.
Yellow Flower Event
Speak to Kana between 11am - 1pm on a sunny/snowy Friday or Saturday. Kana at yellow flower color or higher and his previous events have been viewed. Additionally, Dirk must be at 3 white flowers or more.
As Dirk sends him a letter, Kana opens the letter and discovers it is from his dad, explaining that he finally found the best horse in the entire world, and wants Kana to move back with him. Kana wonders if he should move. If the first option is chosen (Follow your heart), Kana's father may be disappointed, but he loves this village and wants to live here. Embarrassed, Kana thanks the player for their support then invites them to go to his place together, to hang out with Hayate.
