|This article is about Karen a character from Harvest Moon DS. You may be looking for Karen in her other appearances throughout the series.|
Karen works at the General Store, and will sell you items over the phone when you call using the telephone. Once you connect to (More) Friends of Mineral Town, Karen will also come and visit Forget-Me-Not Valley from Mineral Town every Tuesday.
She visits her cousin Celia during the day at Vesta's Farm, and likes to drink at the Blue Bar during the evening. She stays at the Inn and can be found there early in the morning. Karen can only be given gifts when she visits on Tuesdays, so she is harder to woo than the local bachelorettes. Her heart level is also invisible unless the Love Bangle is equipped.
Marrying any Mineral Town bachelorette in DS will cause the game to end. After the credits finish rolling, players can resume the game from their last saved game.
Black Heart Event
Walk into Vesta's shop between 4:30 PM and 5 PM on a Tuesday.
Vesta explains that Celia isn't feeling well today. She thinks it might make her feel better if you visit with her. You go to see Celia and see that Karen is also here! Explain to the girls that you are here to visit with Celia.
Celia seems a little embarrassed that everybody is fussing over her. However, she is also thankful that you came to check on her! Karen thanks you for your kindness. The two of leave when Celia starts to have a coughing fit.
Karen once again thanks you for coming to visit with Celia before going back inside.
Purple Heart Event
Walk into the Blue Bar between 6:20 PM and 10 PM on Tuesday. Karen must have a purple heart color or more and the black heart event must have been previously watched.
Karen asks you to join her as soon as you enter the bar. Griffin asks you to come and keep Karen company. Griffin says that the drinks are on the house, so Karen encourages you to drink with her. Karen will offer you a drink 5 times. Agree to each drink (if you don't, she tells you to leave). After your 5th drink, you start to feel sick and pass out!
When you wake up, Griffin and Karen are nearby. Karen apologizes for making you drink so much. You automatically accept her apology and Karen thanks you. Griffin is glad you are feeling better but says that you are done drinking for the night after this. You leave the bar.
Blue Heart Event
Walk up to the Inner Inn's second floor back hallway between 6 AM and 9 AM on a Tuesday. Karen must have a blue heart color or more and all previous events must have already been seen.
Karen is standing in the hallway of the Inn. When you approach her, she asks if you'd like to go for a walk with her. Agree to go with her.
Karen will take you to the windmills by Vesta's house. She explains that they don't have any windmills where she's from, so she likes to look at them while she's here visiting. Karen likes that Forget-Me-Not Valley and Mineral Town have both similarities and differences too! Karen realizes she's been talking a lot so decides it's time to take you home.
Karen feels a little self-conscious for talking so much. You automatically assure Karen. She thanks you and leaves.
Yellow Heart Event
Walk into the Blue Bar between 6:20 PM and 10 PM on a Tuesday when Karen has a yellow heart or more and all previous events have been watched.
Upon entering the bar, Karen invites you over. Remembering what happened the last time, you refuse. Karen tells you that she hasn't even been drinking today and Griffin is able to confirm it. You come a little closer but are still hesitant. Griffin understands that you are wary, but Karen tells him to butt out!
Karen comes over to you and asks if she can get your advice about her future. She will ask if she's annoying you, to which you will automatically nod your head "no". Karen explains that her dad runs the supermarket but his health is declining. Karen thinks she should take over for her father in the future, but wants your opinion.
Tell Karen that she should try to get some life experience before committing to taking over the Supermarket. She's impressed that you're so mature and you've definitely given her something to think about. Karen feels so relieved that she asked you for your opinion and thanks you.
