Karen (カレン, Karen^?) is a visitor from Mineral Town who stays at Carol's Inn during Fall and Winter. Her sister-in-law, Popuri, also accompanies her while she's on vacation. Karen is married to Rick, but he doesn't come with her to the islands; it's a girls-only trip. She and Popuri are never separate from each other.

Karen and Popuri's schedule takes them all over the archipelago. On sunny days she starts out inside the inn, then grabs some food at the Cafe at 11am. At 3 o'clock she moves to Mystic Islands, and then returns to Sprout Island after 7pm.

On rainy days, they'll stay at the Inn until 1pm, go outside on Verdure Island until 5pm, and then go to Chen's shop until 9pm. If the day is rainy and a Friday (when Chen's shop is closed), the girls go to the Diner from 1pm to 5pm, and then around Sprout Island until 9pm.
