Kate (ケイト, Keito^?) is a character in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.

The daughter of Garret and San who moves into the valley in Chapter 2.

As a child, Kate has a bit of a rebellious streak. Her mother accuses her of being tomboyish, which causes friction between the two. She tries to be out of the house as much as she can. Kate is bored in the country since moving from the city, claiming that there's nothing to do, though she does say that playing with Hugh is fun. She can often be found walking all around the valley to keep herself busy.

As Kate grows older, her relationship with her mother improves. She becomes much more lady-like and is much calmer. Her attitude about the valley changes as well and she finds inspiration in the surroundings for her writing. Kate aspires to be a novelist when she grows up. She spends a lot of time at the dig site waterfall and the villa as a teen.

When Kate's friendship is nearly maxed, she will give the player the "Autumn in Oak Tree Town" record. Speak to Kate while she's upstairs in her house to obtain it. Kate also gives the player the Blessed Clippers, if her request on the bulletin board is completed.

When entering her house while both her (Kate) and San are in there, an event where San tells Kate to clean her plate will appear. Kate storms out after San tells her to eat her vegetables. San then talks to the player about having to balance between being spoilt and strict with children. She asks you whether you think discipline or giving kate a break was the best idea.
