The Lava Caves are a location in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town.
You can access this area during the Mining Frenzy mini game. You have 120 seconds to break rocks and gem deposits to gather raw materials. The layout of this special mine is random each time. Each type of drop will give you a certain amount of points. In the mini-game you will always start with 10 hearts of stamina and there is no way to replenish stamina.
Keep upgrading your hammer to achieve a higher score. If your stamina runs out before the timer ends, then your total number of points is subtracted by penalty points. The number of penalty points given is around 10% of your total score. You can play this game multiple times in one day, but each session will make 1 hour go by. The number of Sprite Coins you receive will depend on the points you earn. If you earn a total of 4,000 points or more you will be rewarded with two extra hearts of stamina.
