Lily (スイレン Suiren?) is an eligible bachelorette in Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands.
A treasure hunter by trade, Lily has come to the island hoping to find lots of treasure. She has a great intuition which makes her a great at what she does. While on the islands, she stays at Carol's inn on Sprout Island. She is usually found on Volcano Island looking for ores, gems and any other treasures that she can get her hands on.
She has an exotic way of speaking compared to the other islanders. Lily talks often about her ancestors and holds their teaching in high regards. Honor is very important to her. The giant stuffed panda she keeps in her room is one of her most prized possessions.
Lily first appears when Volcano Island is raised by visiting Meadow Island. She moves in at the same time as Will, who will be your rival for her affection.

Heart Events[]
Purple Heart Event
Go to Volcano Island on a sunny or cloudy day between 10am and 2pm, when Lily has a purple heart level.
Lily is looking for treasure today and asks if you would please help her. If you agree, Lily will take you into the mine.
While looking around, she gets distracted by the lava. Lily thinks its amazing and is grateful that she gets to see it up close. You agree with Lily, which makes her happy. She thanks you for helping her today.
Blue Heart Event
Walk from Verdure Island to Sprout Island between 1pm and 5pm on a rainy day when Lily has a blue heart color or higher. The purple heart event must have also been watched previously.
You will see Lily looking at the giant rock on the beach. Lily sees you and wants to ask a question. Agree to listen to what she has to say.
Lily has a lot of puzzling questions about this rock. Her intuition says that there may be treasure hiding underneath! You explain to her that the rock is only good for gathering seaweed. Lily is disappointed that she was wrong. You reassure her that everybody has bad days and she feels better.
Green Heart Event
Enter Lily's room at the inn between 6am and 10am on a sunny day, or 9am to 1pm on a rainy day. Lily must be at a green heart color or higher, and the previous events must all have been seen for the event to trigger.
Lily is tidying up her room. She notices you looking at the giant panda she keeps at her bedside. She explains that the panda is her traveling companion, although that may seem odd to some. Tell Lily that her bear must be very important to her.
Lily is happy that you recognize the importance of her bear, it actually saved her life! While inside of a cave, Lily got stuck. Mysteriously, the giant bear was in the cave and stopped her from being crushed! Lily trusts you enough to have told the story and asks that you keep it a secret.
Yellow Heart Event
Lily's last event will take place automatically as you enter your farmhouse between 10am and 5pm on any sunny day, as long as Lily has a yellow heart minimum. All previous events must have also been watched.
Lily feels like going on an adventure today and would like to invite you too! If you agree to go, Lily will take you to Mystic Island. She has never visited this island before, so she is very excited! Lily sees the church and wants to go inside. She notices the statue of the Harvest Goddess and asks to hear more about the Goddess. She jokes that she would be very rich if she were to have the statue for herself, although she would never think to steal from a church. Lily prays to the Goddess for the day to be longer so she can spend more time with you. She realizes it's an impossible wish for the Goddess to grant and decides to make the most of the day instead.
This event will end at 6pm and you'll be brought back to your farmhouse.
Proposal
It is possible to propose marriage by using the Blue Feather once certain conditions have been met. You must have the Husband/Wife bed inside your house, have watched all heart events with the candidate you wish to propose to and the candidate must have a red heart color. Additionally, Mystic Islands must be raised and the Goddess must be spoken to once by throwing a gift into her spring.
The Blue Feather can be purchased from Chen's shop once any marriage candidate reaches an orange heart color. If all conditions have been met, the feather will be accepted and you will be engaged!
Wedding
Your wedding will be set for a week after an accepted proposal. The wedding date will be pushed forward a day if the wedding day lands on a festival day, a typhoon, or a blizzard.
You will automatically wake up on the day of your wedding and go to the church for the ceremony. The wedding lasts the entire day and you will be unable to do any of your daily farm work either before or after the ceremony. After the wedding, you will wake up the following day back at the farmhouse with your new spouse. They will ask you what you wish to be called now that you're married.
Black Rival Rival Event The first rival heart event can be triggered by walking from Verdure Island to Sprout Island between 1 pm and 5 pm on a rainy day at year 2 or later. Lily or Will must be at a black color heart or lower or you have to be married.
Will greets Lily as she leaves the hotel, but Lily doesn't know who he is. She does see him from time to time, and asks how he knows her name. Will tells her that he had heard rumors of a beautiful maiden staying at the inn. Well, Lily does think the innkeeper is gorgeous, but that doesn't explain how he knows her name.
Will tries to flatter her some more by calling her the fairest maiden on the islands, which puzzles her a little bit. She thinks he's odd but she likes him none the less! Will finally introduces himself, and tells her that it is like a dream to have someone like her remember his name.
Green Rival Rival Event The second rival heart event can be triggered by visiting the Volcano Island between 11 am and 2 pm during year 3 or later. Lily or Will must be halfway through the green color heart or you have to be married. The previous rival event must also have been viewed.
Lily is minding her business when Will comes up to say "hi." He thought it would be rude to not say something, and asks what she was doing on the island. Lily is looking for treasure, and Volcano Island definitely has its share of it. She would also like to have the ore that Will has heard is in abundance in the mine, but she is really after the treasure that must be hidden somewhere. Lily doesn't care how much danger she has to go through to find it!
Will is a little upset that she's so willing to put herself in harm's way. Lily explains that she's aware of the danger and she can't be a treasure hunter if she's always afraid of every little thing. Will tells her that he would be very sad if anything was to happen to her, because she is precious to him and one of his few friends. Lily thinks he is a little weird for thinking that way, but she likes him none the less. She promises not to do anything dangerous.
Orange Rival Rival Event The third rival heart event can be walking onto Will's Yacht between 1 pm and 4 pm during rain or snow. Lily or Will must be halfway through the orange color heart or you have to be married. The previous rival event must also have been viewed and you have to have been given Lily's Sun stone.
Will has brought Lily to his boat because he wanted to talk to her. His father told him to go out into the world to experience life so he came to this island. Instead, he found someone he wants to share the rest of his life with. Lily is confused and does not respond, and so Will apologizes for his sudden story. On the other hand, he can't contain his affection any longer.
Lily thinks to herself for a long time, and finally tells him that she doesn't quite understand his speach; Will always speaks with difficult words. She does understand that Will has been thinking of her, but if he speaks more clearly she might be able to understand. It is difficult for Will to tell her what he feels in a single word. He finally decides to ask her to marry him, which Lily clearly understands.

- If you have 7 hearts with Lily, she will give you a present if you speak to her on your birthday. There are three different presents available, depending on the year. She will give you either Gold (Year 1), a Diamond (Year 2) or a Red Magic Flower (Year 3). These gifts will continue in a set rotation every three years.[2]
- Her Japanese name—Suiren—is the Japanese pronunciation of the Chinese word/name 睡莲 (shuìlián) meaning "Water lily".
