Marla (マーメイ Māmei?) is a character in Harvest Moon GBC3.
She is a mysterious mermaid who lives in a sea cave. After the player character has a boat, Marla will send three messages in bottles that appear on the beach. If the player answers her three notes correctly, she will ask the player to visit her. After following Marla's instructions to her cave, she will gift the player a Power Berry.

Marla's First Letter
- Requirements: A few days after the boat is received
A message in a bottle has washed up on the beach! It claims the writer is a mermaid sending it from deep in the ocean. You may respond.
- "I believe you." | Correct answer
- "You're kidding." | Fail
Marla's Second Letter
- Requirements: One week after successfully answering Marla's first letter.
Another message in a bottle has washed up on the beach! She has received your letter and is overjoyed you believe her because she's been very lonely.
- "Be my friend." | Correct answer
- "A mermaid...?" | Fail
Marla's Third Letter + Meeting Marla
- Requirements: One week after successfully answering Marla's second letter.
Another message in a bottle has washed up on the beach! The mermaid wants to meet with you and gives you directions to her cave. If the player travels there that same day she will be overjoyed that they came over so soon and give the player a power berry.
The Red Lake (Part 3)
- Requirements: Talk to Marla after meeting with Kirk
Marla is surprised the story has become a legend on the island and says that it all is true, except she knows Rocky is alive somewhere waiting for her. She doesn't seem to know about the brother's fight.
