Marriage (SoS)

The marriage system in Story of Seasons is similar to Harvest Moon 3DS: A New Beginning.

Relationships

If the player wants to check their friendship level with characters, they must press the L button next to the character. The aura within the speech bubble ranges from Scribbles, Dot Bubble, Curved Orange Line, Yellow Lines, Rainbow Musical Notes, Sparkles, to Hearts.

The player must give marriage candidates gifts to increase their affection and trigger flower events. When said person reaches a blue flower, they can confess their love with the Commitment Ring, which will officially make them marriage candidate a couple.

Once all marriage requirements have been completed, as long as the candidate is at a Red Flower color, the Blue Feather will be sold at the General Store for 105,000 G (Seedling Mode) or 150,000 G (Veteran Mode). A marriage candidate may initiate reverse proposal once certain requirements are met.

Proposal and wedding

There are a total of three different wedding options, which have the same prices regardless of the mode being played.

• The Simple Plan is a Western wedding that costs 100,000 G. Only the main character, their spouse, and Veronica will attend. There are no wedding gifts.
• The Deluxe Plan can either be an Eastern or Western wedding that costs 500,000 G. Four villagers will attend. As a wedding gift, 5 Marguerite Pots and 5 Red Rose Pots will be added to the constructed objects inventory.
• The Luxury Plan can either be an Eastern or Western wedding that costs 1,000,000 G. Most of the villagers will attend. As a wedding gift with five of each item: Marguerite Pots, Red Rose Pots, and Sunflower Flowerbeds.

After the player is married and has built the Two-Story House, they will have opposite-sex twins. The amount of time for the pregnancy depends on which wedding plan was chosen as listed below:

• Simple Plan - 30 days
• Deluxe Plan - 20 days
• Luxury Plan - 15 days

Simple and Deluxe plans take 40 days before the while the Luxury plan takes one month.
