Mining is an activity in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. To mine, the protagonist must bring a hoe and a hammer[1]

Locations[]

The ore fields are two powerhouses, a spring cave and a lake cave. You can enter the lake cave only in winter when the lake freezes, but if you get flying stones, you can fly directly to the cave entrance, so you can enter it all year round. In the ore field, you can get items by digging the ground or breaking stones. [2]

Time Elapse[]

At the mine, no time passes while inside. However, one minute passes for each dive underground. It is necessary to be careful since after 10pm, the fatigue level accumulates with the use of tools as in the outdoors. To avoid this effect when aiming for the 255th basement floor, enter the ore field by 5:44pm.[5]

Descending the Mine[6][]

Take the down ladder to the lower floor. Downhill ladders appear with a certain probability when digging the ground on each floor. There are no 8 squares around the return ladder, so look for other places. Also, when returning to the ground, you can go back to the entrance of the cave with the return ladder.[7]

  • It appears when you dig the ground, and you can go down one level by examining it.
  • Multiple schools are randomly placed on the same floor, and when one is found, the other locations disappear

If you step on the pitfalls, you will fall by 1 to 5 floors and your physical strength will decrease. However, if you want to go deeper, try to use it because falling into a pit will advance faster than searching for a down ladder.[13]

Mineable Items[14][]

The ore that emerges when you break a stone depends on the ore field. At the Fountain Cave, you can get the ore necessary to modify the Lord's tools. The ores available in the lake caves can be earned mainly by shipping or used as gifts for residents. Also, "Sage's Stone" is a very precious ore, and if it meets the conditions, it will appear in the spring cave.[15]

Mother's Hill Lake Mine[]

You can only access the lake mine during Winter. The lake will freeze over providing ground to walk on. You can find rare gems here. Most gems sell for over 50 gold. Black grass and coins can be found here as well.
