The Mountain Cottage is an additional home in Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town.
It is a house that can be obtained by being married for 50 years in the game. On your 50th anniversary, your spouse will present this cottage to you as a gift. It features wood-themed furnishings, including a clock, a chimney, a bed, a diary and a calendar. The house is located north of the Kappa Pond, and south of Mother's Hill.
Your family will not live with you at the cottage, despite it being a gift from your spouse. The cottage also contains one of the rare Jewels of Truth. It can be picked up by examining the calendar in the cottage.
