In the original Harvest Moon game, it is possible for Pete to have two children. This can be done by getting married 20 days, upgrading house twice, and raising his wife's affection level to 450 points (7 hearts in diary).
After Pete's wife tells him she is pregnant, the child will be born two months later. The pregnancy for the second child requires the first child to be 31 days old and Pete's wife to have 650 points of affection (9 hearts in diary).
