Regis (ダルシャン Darushan?) is a character in Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands.
Regis is a multi-millionaire who owns his own successful mining company. He manages his company through his own personal home office. Regis lives in a luxurious mansion on Sprout Island with his daughter Sabrina. His daughter helps him with his business by acting as a bookkeeper. He is very protective of his daughter, and sees her very much as the apple of his eye.
Regis originally came to the island in search of ores. Until the player raises Volcano Island and gains access to the mine, Regis won't leave his mansion. After Volcano Island is raised, he will visit on sunny days. After Will is unlocked, he can be seen visiting Regis in the evening at his mansion.
Regis organizes and judges the Mining Festival.

Rumors
Enter Taro's house between 6am and 9am when Felicia and Mirabelle have 6 hearts of friendship or more.
Mirabelle and Felicia are gossiping with each other and invite you to join in. Mirabelle asks Felicia if she's heard anything interesting recently. Felicia heard a rumor recently that Regis is really a vampire! The two argue back and forth about whether or not it could be true when Regis shows up. Regis swears he heard his name and asks what everybody is talking about.
Felicia cheerily asks Regis if it's true that he's really a vampire. Mirabelle is shocked that she would be so upfront about asking. Regis is very amused by this and admits that yes, he is in fact a vampire! Felicia doesn't understand that Regis is joking and continues to ask him questions about being a vampire.
A Bitter Argument
Enter Regis' mansion on a rainy/snowy evening between 5pm and 7pm when Regis and Sabrina have 6 hearts of friendship or more. Sabrina must be unmarried.
As you approach Regis' mansion, you can hear Regis and Sabrina arguing. When you go to investigate, Regis becomes angry and says it is a family matter. Sabrina is upset that Regis has set up an arranged marriage for her with somebody she's never met. He insists it's for the good of the company and refuses to consider Sabrina's objections. Sabrina blurts out that her mother left due to Regis' obsession with the company. Sensing that she's hurt her father's feelings, she immediately apologizes.
Regis realizes that Sabrina is right and apologizes for putting the company before people he cares about. Sabrina insists on marrying for love and Regis agrees. He thanks you for defending Sabrina, even if it meant getting caught in the midst of the argument.
A Test of Character
Enter's Will's yacht between 6am and 8am or 9pm and 10pm on a cloudy day or between 6am and 10am or 9pm and 10pm on a rainy day. Will must be unmarried and Regis, Will and Sabrina all have 6 hearts of friendship minimum. This can only be triggered if playing as Mark.
Trivia[]
- If you have 7 hearts with Regis, he will give you a present if you speak to him on your birthday. There are three different presents available, depending on the year. He will give you either a Diamond (Year 1), Peridot (Year 2) or a Topaz (Year 3). These gifts will continue in a set rotation every three years.[3]
- Him and Sabrina both have the same favorite gift.
