This article is about Romana, a character from A Wonderful Life. You may be looking for Romana, a character from Harvest Moon: DS.

Romana (ロマナ Romana?) is a character in Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, Another Wonderful Life, and A Wonderful Life Special Edition.

Romana has lived in Forget-Me-Not Valley for a long time. She has now grown into an elderly woman, but still enjoys her quiet life in the valley. She lives in her large Villa in the northern part of town.

She is a cheerful woman who is a cat lover, and a musical enthusiast. She takes care of her young granddaughter, Lumina, and is always pushing that she become a great pianist. She also seems to be somewhat self conscious of her age, as she insists that Lumina call her "Auntie Romana" instead of "Grandmother."

She receives help from her butler, Sebastian who has been a close personal friend and faithful servant for many years. She rarely leaves her mansion, but can sometimes be seen venturing out to the town for walks. She loves to have visitors at her Villa, and is a lover of flowers. Her schedule and mannerisms vary very little throughout the years, and she is also one of the only characters who seemingly doesn't seem to age at all.

Befriending her and Lumina may influence your child's musical career path. Other rewards for befriending her include adopting one of her many cats for your farm and obtaining a unique watering can.

Events[]

Strange Watering Can

Become friends with Romana, and enter her room in the mansion at a time when she's there. She'll give you the Watering Can W. In Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, like the other gift tools, this watering can is bugged, holding only one use, and only watering one tile. In Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life and in Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition, this bug is fixed, and the Watering Can W waters a 3x3 area, centered on the target square, and holds 10 uses, however you must have unlocked the Great Field for this scene to trigger.[1]

As a result of the bug in Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, there has long been a rumor that, due to only holding 1 square of water and only watering 1 square at a time, the Watering Can W is meant for trees. This is not the case, and does not affect the growth rate of trees, nor the quantity or quality of fruit.

Housecat

In Fall of Chapter 2, if you become close friends with Romana, then one morning as you leave your house she might arrive at your doorstep, asking if you would like to adopt a cat from her.[2]

Music Sheet (Special Edition Only)

After Chapter 2, if you befriend her she will give you some sheet music. This can be given to your child to influence their music career. This is in place of Lumina, who gives you the sheet music in Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life and Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life
