Saibara (サイバラ Saibara?) is a character in Harvest Moon 64.
He owns a Souvenir Shop in which he sells various crafts he makes. He is friendly, but cynical and often talks about how he has lost potential as he grows older. He does not understand why the player has decided to live near Flowerbud Village.
He does not participate in the village's festivals and prefers to be left alone. He is found at his store during business hours, but if the shop is closed, he might be found on Moon Mountain. There is a red vase that is not for sale — as Saibara calls it a "mistake" — but if the player gives him a "Blue Rock" (which can be obtained digging in the mine), the vase will change color and become available for purchase. He will also sell the ocarina at a certain time.
He will give the player a recipe when given a medicinal herb.
