Greetings[]
- "Well, hello there! A lovely day today, isn't it?"
- "Welcome. How fares the farm? Enjoying your work?"
- "How are you doing? If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to let me know, dear."
- "Well, hello! How fares the farm? All is going well, I hope?"
- At the Supermarket: "My, my! Welcome. Found what you need already?"
- Evening: "Goodness, I'd best get home and start on dinner. Losing track of time like this has become a bad habit of mine."
Chat[]
Supermarket:
- "I enjoy my work here at the store quite a bit. Finding a job that you enjoy is the secret to a happy life."
- "Come again now, would you? Always a pleasure to see you."
- "We're lucky to have Karen here to lean on when it comes to the store. And what a big help she is!"
- "My husband can't seem to stop letting customers make their purchases on a tab. I swear, we're not a soup kitchen... Still, his inclination to be so kind and trusting is one of the many reasons why I fell in love with him."
- Back of Supermarket: "My husband insists that he can tell when heavy rain or snow is coming because his heartburn will act up. Now, I've never had heartburn in my life, so I'm a tad dubious about the climate connection, but if he says so.."
- At the Square: "Oh, really? Mhm.. Mhm.. And then.. Ahahahaha! You don't say? Mhm... And...did? But are you sure it... The.. instead?
- Visiting Ellen: "Yu is such a rambunctious little troublemaker. He sure enjoys his pranks. Poor Ellen has a hard time keeping up. Well, I suppose that's better than him saying cooped up in his room all day. Getting out and about is good for kids."
- Visiting Lillia: "Lillia has always been frail, the poor thing. Back when Doctor's father first came to town to examine her... and he made it very clear that an active lifestyle was just not in the cards for her. A shame, hm?"
- "Now, Lillia and I have been best friends for ages. When I heard her prognosis, I nearly fainted, but she just smiled. I told myself, right then and there that I would have to do all the things that she couldn't. For her sake."
- "Lillia's husband is a good man but when an idea gets into his head, he becomes fixated on it. Where HAS he gotten to? Goodness! He really ought to come back home -- and soon. Poor Lillia has been left waiting and waiting..."
- Teaches you a recipe: "Listen, how about I teach you my recipe for Chocolate Cookies? You'll need Wheat Flour, Chocolate, Eggs, and Butter. Oh, and a Seasoning Set, too. You make them with a Rolling Pin and Oven. I always have to hide mine from Jeff or else he'll eat them all. Karen, though? Her palate is biased toward the savory."
Gifts[]
- "My, my! How thoughtful of you. I like this ever so much."
- "My, how thoughtful! No matter how old you get, it always feels nice to get a present, don't you think?"
- "Ah, sorry. I'm pretty bothered by those. Oh, you didn't know? Well, I guess it's all right, then. But let this be a lesson, okay? Please don't do this again."
- Birthday: "My word! How very thoughtful of you! Goodness, how long have you known about my birthday? Thank you, sweetheart."
Festivals[]
Spring Derby:
- Few days before derby: "Jeff insists he'll get me a gift with all his medals this year. If he were to win though, I'm not sure if he actually would.."
- At Derby: "I'm glad it's sunny today. And there's such a wonderful breeze!"
Cooking Exhibition:
- Few days before Cooking Exhibition: "I wonder what kind of theme they'll choose for this year's Cooking Exhibition.."
- Day before festival: "Tomorrow's the Cooking Exhibition, but I can't help but worry about what Karen will create. I do hope she'll be all right..."
- Cooking Exhibition: "I've been trying to teach Karen how to cook, but it's not going very well. Why is she so adamant about entering the Cooking Exhibition, I wonder?"
- "I wonder what the theme will be this time? Well, Karen's going to enter no matter what it is..."
Fetch Festival:
- Few days before the Fetch Festival: "I'm looking forward to the upcoming Fetch Fest, but the summer heat? Not so much..."
- Day before Fetch Festival: "The animals that take part in the Fetch Fest always work so hard out there! It's just adorable!"
- At the Fetch Fest: "Some animals are quite clever, especially pets. If you train them, they can do lots of different things. Hmm. Maybe we should get a pet, too."
- At the Fetch Fest (you've entered): "You're taking part, right? Do your best!"
- After the Fetch Fest (did not compete): "After watching that performance, I'm really impressed with all of the animals. Maybe we should seriously consider getting a pet.."
- After the Fetch Fest (lose): "That's too bad. I'm sure you'll win next year if you work hard, though. Don't let it get you down."
Concert:
- Few days before festival: "The Concert's in a few days... Will you be playing something, [Player]?"
- Day before the festival: "Karen's going to be singing tomorrow. I can't wait to hear her performance!"
- At the Concert: "Everyone helps put this concert together. It's more fun than having professionals come..."
Harvest Festival:
- Day before festival: "The best part of the Harvest Festival is finding out what we'll be able to make from our ingredients! I wonder what we'll have this year..."
- Before eating stew: "I'll have to keep a close eye on Karen. One time she threw chocolate in."
- After eating stew (good result): "Phew, that's a relief. It seems nothing strange made it in this time."
- After eating stew (bad result): "*sigh* I'm sure we have Karen to thank for this.... again. Maybe it was candy this time. Or marshmallows?"
New Year's Eve
- "I'm jus here to accompany Jeff, dear. Though, getting soba noodles for free IS a nice perk."
