Shea (シバ Shiva?) is a bachelor in Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands.
Abandoned by his parents, Shea was brought up by his foster father Wada. Both men are members of a clan of hunters. He survives off of the land, and strongly believes in hunting only for what you need.
Shea has been isolated from humans for most of his life and speaks in broken sentences as a result. Despite this, he is a responsible young man with good upbringing and good heart, despite his primitive nature. He and Wada will not appear in game until Mushroom Island has been raised, after which they will live at the tent. Shea aims to be great hunter and warrior so he can protect those who are important to him.
If you plan on marrying Shea, keep in mind that his heart level is invisible, meaning that you cannot see Shea's heart level while talking to him.

Heart Events[1][]
Purple Heart Event
Walk into Shea's Tent on Mushroom Island when Shea has 2 hearts or higher. On a sunny day, this event can be triggered between 6am to 8am, 1pm and 3pm, as well as 8pm and 10pm. On a rainy day, it can be triggered between 6am and 11am as well as 3pm and 10pm.
Shea wants the player to come inside because he has a question he wants to ask. It is the first time that Shea has lived on his own without Wada. He is trying to be a strong warrior, but feels strange and sad. Shea doesn't understand and asks if the player thinks he is sick. Telling so will result in Shea realizing that they should get away from him before they are affected too.
Blue Heart Event
The same requirements applied with Shea's Purple Heart Event, except Shea has 4 hearts or more and 15 islands must be raised. Afterwards, Wada will move to Mushroom Island.
Inside Shea's Tent, he shows the player a spear that Wada gave him. Shea does not have any problems hunting when using this spear, and reminds them that he is aware that their farm animals are not for him to hunt. Wada already taught him well and he respects his adoptive father. Tell you believe in him and Shea promises to be there for you because it is the way of the warrior.
Green Heart Event
Walk into Shea's Tent on Mushroom Island when Shea is at a purple heart or higher. On a sunny day, this event can be triggered between 6am to 2pm. On a rainy day, this event can be triggered between 6am and 8pm. Shea has 6 hearts or more.
Wada has come to visit Shea with a lot of foods, to which Shea thanks him, wanting to make sure that Shea is happy. If you tell that Wada is important to you, Shea will dance for a while to celebrate how happy he is.
Yellow Heart Event
Enter your house on a sunny day between 10am and 5pm when Shea has 7 Hearts more, assuming that his previous heart events have been viewed.
Shea has come to ask if you'd like to go out with him today. Once accepted, Shea mentions he doesn't know what a ranch is like. He didn't expect it to be so big, but watching the spinning blades seems to make Shea dizzy. After taking a break, Shea tells you should visit again someday. This event will end at 6pm and you'll return to your farmhouse.
Proposal
You must own the Husband/Wife bed inside your house and view heart events with your chosen marriage candidate, with them having a red heart. Additionally, Mystic Islands must be raised and the Goddess must be spoken to once by throwing a gift into her spring. The Blue Feather can be purchased from Chen's shop when a marriage candidate reaches an orange heart color. Once all marriage requirements have been completed, the marriage candidate will accept the Blue Feather.
Wedding
Your wedding will trigger one week after the proposal. The date will be pushed forward a day if it falls on a festival day, or the weather will be typhoon/blizzard. If you marry Shea, it will be a private wedding ceremony on Mushroom Island with Wada acting as minister. The wedding lasts the entire day and you will be unable to do your farm work. Afterwards, you will wake up the next day at your farmhouse with your new spouse. They will ask what you'd like to be called now that you're married.
Other Events[]
Wada's Strength
When Shea and Wada have 6 hearts or higher, ride Kirk's boat to Mushroom Island between 4pm and 7pm on a sunny or cloudy day. If less than 15 islands raised, this event is only triggered on Wednesday or Thursday. You must not be married to Shea if you are playing as Chelsea.
While Shea and Wada are fighting, you intervene the fight in fear of Shea's safety, making them annoyed. However, Shea explains they were just practicing. After successfully smack Wada on his head with your hammer, Wada returns to the tent, where he regains consciousness. Shea is sad to see his foster father lose to you, but glad to hear that Wada lost to hunger.
Trivia[]
- If you have 7 hearts with Shea, he will give you a present if you speak to him on your birthday. There are three different presents available, depending on the year. He will give you either a White Herb (Year 1), a Truffle (Year 2) or a Large Fish (Year 3). These gifts will continue in a set rotation every three years.[2]
