Sheep are farm animals that can be purchased and raised in many Harvest Moon titles. They were first introduced to the series in Harvest Moon 2 for the Game Boy Color. Typically, their main purpose is to produce wool that can be shorn and sold for a profit, gifted and turned into yarn. In some games, they also produce milk.
General Care
Like cows, sheep need to be fed with fodder daily. You can raise their affection level for you (and subsequently, the quality of their wool) by brushing, shearing and talking to them daily. Unlike cows, who can be milked every day, a sheep's wool generally takes around a week to grow back. In certain games, grazing outdoors also raises affection a bit.
You can impregnate an adult sheep with a Miracle Potion in most games, and after a season or so, a baby sheep will be born on your farm. Unlike cows, sheep generally only have two growth cycles, so they start supplying wool earlier than cows would supply milk.
