The Sickle is a tool in Harvest Moon 64. It is one of the five upgradeable tools that start in the character's inventory.
The sickle is used to clear weeds and planted grass that grows on the player's farm. Grass cleared with the sickle is automatically sent to the player's feed silo (located in the barn) and converted to fodder, to be used to feed the player's cows and sheep.
Upgrading it improves the area cut; the first upgrade will clear the three squares in front of the player, the second upgrade will clear all eight squares around the player, as well as the one he is standing on.
The sickle upgrades every 350 times, for a maximum of two times.
