Slater (アルビオ, Arubio^? lit. Albio) is a sub-villager in Harvest Moon DS: Sunshine Islands

One of two miners who live on Verdure Island who will move in once Volcano Island is raised. He lives in the south-western most house on the map, closest to the dock, under Pierre's house.

Slater is a gruff sort who keeps to himself and believes in working hard. He can be found at the mine on Volcano Island or at the diner when he's not at home. Befriending him is necessary for a Sun Stone. If you keep increasing his friendship, the amount of dogs who live with Slater at his house will increase (1 dog per heart level).

• If you have 7 hearts with Slater, he will give you a present if you speak to him on your birthday. There are three different presents available, depending on the year. He will give you either Relax Tea (Year 1), Pineapple Pie (Year 2) or Bodigizer (Year 3). These gifts will continue in a set rotation every three years.
