Plot[]
Your new life begins in Forgotten Valley, a tranquil community where your father and his friend Takakura once dreamed of running a farm. As you befriend the valley's residents and fulfill your father's legacy, you'll live a carefree life on the farm growing crops and raising animals. As the seasons go by, you'll find your lifelong partner, raise a child together, and watch them grow up before your very eyes.
After each day's work on the farm is done, you can go fishing, hunt for ancient treasures at the local dig site, or chat with your friends in town to build precious memories. And when the years have passed, your child will be old enough to choose a career for themselves... Will they inherit the farm? Or will they find their calling somewhere else? Only time will tell.
This remake of a beloved classic features plenty of new events, enhanced festivals, more recipes to cook, and a cornucopia of never-before-seen crops. Looking for more to do around the farm? Take pictures of your family with the new camera feature, dress up in your favourite outfits, or help your fellow residents with their requests. Prologue[]
The protagonist lives in the city and learns of Forgotten Valley as he sorts through his deceased father's belongings. He writes a letter to his father's friend, Takakura, saying he'd like to try farming[4] and leaves from the city to Forgotten Valley.
Beginnings[]
First chapter of the story. The protagonist starts growing their farm, meets the various villagers, attempts to impress one of the bachelors or bachelorettes, and gets married.
Branching[]
The second chapter of the story. The protagonist and their spouse have their only child. New villagers move into Forgotten Valley. The protagonist will have the opportunity to influence their child's interests the greatest.
Blessings[]
The third chapter of the story. The protagonist's child is a few years older and is still able to be influenced.

Development[]
The game was first announced to be in development in Nintendo's September 13, 2022 Nintendo Direct presentation.[5] Later that day the official Japanese website was posted with some information about characters and gameplay. Meanwhile, the English website was posted but with only the front page revealed. On October 28, 2022, Marvelous announced via a trailer that the game would also release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Microsoft Windows via Steam for the western release in Summer 2023. This is Rika Hoshina's first title as a director, making her the series' first female director. She confirmed that the project planning happened in Spring 2020 and the development began in Fall 2020.[6]

Japan has a total of 14 separate package bundles that can be obtained by ordering the game from various different retailers - with ten of those bundles containing physical merchandise and the other four being ingame outfits for the player.
North American Premium Edition[]
