Sun Stones (SI)

Sun Stones are a key item in Harvest Moon DS: Sunshine Islands.

Sun Stones are used to raise the sunken islands around the archipelago. They are obtained by performing certain tasks. Each island has a specific required amount of Sun Stones needed in order to raise it. Sun Stones can be used at the shrine on Meadow Island. There are a 100 Sun Stones total in the game.

You will be unable to collect Sun Stones until the 10th of Spring. A cutscene will play where the villagers are all beckoned to Meadow Island by a strange voice. Only the player is able to see the red Harvest Sprite named Agete. Agete explains that the rest of the islands have sunken and asks that you bring him Sun Stones so that he can raise islands to the surface. From this point on, the player can travel to Meadow Island at any point to interact with the shrine and summon Agete. Agete will either help raise islands (if you have the right amount of Sun Stones) or give you hints as to where a missing stone is located.

Island Costs[]

You can resurrect the islands in any order you want. Below is a list of all available islands to raise with your first 70 Sun Stones:

Link Island (3 Stones) - This small island is north of Ranch Island. Although cheap to raise, a bridge must be built to link it with Ranch Island. It links together Greenhouse Island, Fruit Island and Rice Island. Gannon can build a bridge to each connecting island for access.

Greenhouse Island (10 Stones) - Can hold a greenhouse that can be utilized to grow crops indoors during any season. Gannon must build the greenhouse after the island is raised. A bridge from Link Island must also be built for access.

Rice Island (5 Stones) - Has rice paddies where rice can be grown. A bridge from Link Island must be built for access.

Fruit Island (10 Stones) - Serves as an orchard where trees can be grown.

Wild Animal Island (10 Stones) - An island where wild animals live. Wild animals can find items once they are befriended.

Volcano Island (8 Stones)- This is where the mine is located. Players will not be able to do any mining in the game until this island is unlocked. Also unlocks eligible marriage candidates Lily and Will.

Mystic Islands (12 Stones) - A large island that contains the Goddess Pond, Church and the home of Witch Princess and Witchkin. The Harvest Goddess lives in the pond, and Alisa and Nathan live in the church.

Mushroom Island (12 Stones) - Shea lives here, and his father Wada also visits. The pet pig will also live here and help search for mushrooms.

Spoiler warning: The following may contain important story spoilers.

After you have the main 15 islands unlocked, Wada's Sunny Island will sink to the bottom of the ocean. Wada will live on Mushroom Island with Shea. Before this event, Wada lives on Sunny Island and only spent Wednesdays and Thursdays with his adopted son on Mushroom Island.^[1]
