Tools details at Smitty.

Tools are items that help Noby run the farm in Doraemon: Story of Seasons.

The original, first-stage "Old" tools are gifted to Noby by various villagers, but subsequently can be upgraded with the appropriate materials via Smitty into Copper, Iron, Silver, Gold, and Super, respectively. Upgrading these tools increases their efficiency in a variety of ways, including "power-ups" and their stamina requirements, and each upgrade unlocks the next tier of ore available for purchase at the blacksmith.

Old Pick

Given by Blake when Noby initially enters the mine. The most efficient of all tools, these are required to obtain ores and treasures via mining. Ores and gems are the main resources to upgrade your farm and tools.

Old Axe

Number two priority to upgrade this tool. Makes you easier to chopping trees. Trees are the main resource to upgrade your farm. Example: Gold, Hard Wood [charged hit 3 times = 12 normal hit] to chop the tree because [1 charged hit = 4 normal hit] therefore consume [12 stamina].

Old Rod

You just need to upgrade fishing rod up to Copper so you can catch Large shadow fish. Unfortunately, there is no benefit upgrading fishing rod up to higher level. After you found Koropokkur, prioritize to buy Land Fishing Rod because it can reel up any fish from all season anywhere anytime.

Old Water Can

Mini Raincloud placement.

You do not really need to upgrade this tools because it overshadowed later with Doraemon's gadget Mini Raincloud that you can get from Koropokkur's Junk Shop, automatically watering 5x5 square with 0 stamina.

Old Hoe

You do not really need to upgrade this tools, if you always sowing the seed after you harvest the crop, the square won't disappear.

Old Hammer

You do not really need to upgrade this tools because you will always have plenty of Building Stone from mining. Medium Boulder makes 3 Building Stone while Large Boulder make 5 pieces. Example: Copper, Large Boulder [charged hit 9 times = 18 normal hit] to break the rock because [1 charged hit = 2 normal hit] therefore consume [18 stamina].

Old Scythe

You do not really need to upgrade this tools at all. Only used for harvest Wheat and Grass or reap plants. If you want to upgrade it, do it last after all tools upgraded into better one so you won't wasting material.
