Called Items in the game manual, tools enable the farmer to perform actions around the world at the cost of energy. "Missing" with tools e.g. using the hoe on tilled ground or using an empty watering can does consume stamina.
Efficiency[]
Efficiency is used to compare the basic tool with its super upgrade or successor. It is calculated by comparing the energy required for a given task. For example:
Task: Breaking a large rock using the hammer.
Basic Hammer: 6 swings * 2 energy = 12 energy
Golden (Super) Hammer: 1 swing * 4 energy = 4 energy
Outcome:
The Golden Hammer is 3x more efficient than the regular counterpart.
Note on Super Tools: In the case of the Golden Hammer, it only consumes 4 energy compared to the other Super tools which are consuming 8 energy per use. Regardless, 8 energy is still more efficient than 12 spent with the regular tools.

Once you have upgraded your house to the Super Deluxe Log Cabin, this item will be available for sale at the tool shop. This is used to paint your house yellow.
