|This article is about Van, a character from Animal Parade. You may be looking for Van, a character from Tree of Tranquility.|
Van's passion is information, and he is a very bright, intellectual, and serious child. Unlike other children, he already aspires on a goal and knows what he wants to be in the future.
He looks up to his father, Jin, and wants to be a doctor just like him. His eyes and calm demeanor are taken from his mother, Anissa. He enjoys reading books and studying, especially about medicine.
He will first appear two weeks after you trigger Anissa and Jin's marriage ceremony and sequence of rival events that occur before they both decide to get married. You will get a letter in your mail from Jin and Anissa. They had a baby boy, and ask you to come and visit them to meet him. Visit Anissa and Jin at the Clinic. The scene will play where you will be introduced to the newborn baby, Van.
Because he is a newborn baby, the player cannot do anything with Van. Van will remain in crib until he becomes fully-grown.
(NOTE! He will NOT exist in game if the player has both Jin and Anissa unmarried or have aparted from each other.)
Van (Grown Up)
Two weeks after Van is born and you've visited Anissa and Jin to meet him, you'll get another letter. This time, Jin and Anissa will tell you that they're going to take Van for pictures at Simon's to celebrate his growth. They want you to meet them there, so you can introduce yourself to Van.
Go to Simon's Photography Studio any time after getting the second letter, at a time when the store is open. Here, you will see Jin and Anissa, as well as Van. Van will introduce himself, and from this point on the player can socialize with him. The player will be able to interact with him like any other villager, and befriend him. Van cannot get any older in game.
Our Earth's Water
Van will need to have 3 hearts or more before you can see this event. It is triggered by walking into the Clinic.
Inside the Clinic, Van will be educating your child on our earth's water. He explains about precipitation, and how it turns to rain. Your child will cleverly pipe up and mention that the world's lakes and rivers have a lot of water! Van wants to investigate more. Anissa makes the kids a snack, and they happily go to eat.
