Van (バァン, Ba~an^?) is a character in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.

A traveling merchant with a penchant for the peculiar. He visits the valley about twice a season to peddle his various wares, including goods and gifts that can't be found anywhere else.

Van will purchase a large variety of items from the player. The player may wish to store goods in the storage bin that they are unable to sell through the shipping box and sell to Van when he is in town for extra income. Upon talking to Van when he has set up his shop, you can select the option to sell him goods.

You will be limited to a hard item limit of ten items per sale, but your stack sizes of said items can be as high as the item stack allows. Van has an unlimited amount of funds and no limit on how much he will buy from the player.

Van will be the primary source of obtaining high level tools (up to gold), clothing options, house décor and unique items. When purchasing a tool upgrade Van will provide you with the new upgraded tool immediately after purchase and will take your old tool from you. His stock will change each year.
