Windmills (SoSGrB)

Just as it was back in the original DS Grand Bazaar, windmills are your main crafting tool in this game. Everything besides cooking is made through windmills.

There are three windmills around the Zephyr Town area. Each of them is unlocked at a different moment in the story and can craft different items. The wind will also affect your crafting: the windier it is, the faster the windmills will work, with no wind being the slowest they can go and wind level 3 (typhoons and snowstorms) being the quickest.

Windmills

Red Windmill

The red windmill sits at the southwestern corner of your farmlands. This is your basic, starting windmill, with beginner recipes for cheese, butter, yogurt, mayonnaise, all kinds of yarn, perfume and the first upgrades for your tools, to name a few. You can unlock it from the 6th of Spring of year 1, by giving Isaac 10 pieces of Rock and 10 pieces of Wood. This will also allow you to progress your friendship with Isaac up to 4 hearts.

Blue Windmill

The blue windmill is to the southeast of Zephyr Town, south of the hotel and opposite Gabriel's home. The main attraction in this windmill is the ability to craft your own higher-quality seeds from the crops you harvest, as well as other useful recipes like herb cheese/butter/mayonnaise to make a bit more money at the weekly bazaar. You can unlock this windmill from the moment you reach Bazaar Rank 3 by talking to Isaac and finding his missing tools around the bazaar area. This will also allow you to progress your friendship with Isaac up to 6 hearts.

Yellow Windmill

The yellow windmill is on the way to the mountains, just north of Lloyd's home. This has the most advanced recipes available to craft, such as the final upgrades for your tools, the "+" variations of animal byproducts, tea cans and tree seedlings. You must accomplish two tasks before unlocking it: reach Bazaar Rank 4, and craft 100 products using the other windmills at the request of Isaac. Only the items you craft after receiving the request will count towards the total, so crafting a lot ahead of time won't help, but by making Fertilizer this request should be a breeze to complete.

Wonderstones

Wonderstones, or wonderful stones as they used to be called in the previous iteration of the game, are special crystals you can equip in the contraption to the left of the "deposit" where you choose what to craft in the windmills. You will be able to start purchasing them once you unlock Felipe's stall by earning 200.000G in a single bazaar day, and he sells them for 140.000G a piece.

Note: it is possible to earn a free Blue Wonderstone by completing a request for Isaac, in which he asks you for five gemstones of any kind with at least 4 stars quality to gift to his wife.

You can only place one wonderstone in each windmill at a time. You can place a wonderstone if the windmill is already working and crafting stuff, but you won't be able to remove it until the windmill is not in operation, so choose well which one you want to equip at each moment.

There are six different coloured wonderstones, each providing a different effect:

• The Red Wonderstone will increase the quality of your crafts by half a star.
• The Orange Wonderstone will process up to 30 pieces at once instead of the usual 10.
• The Yellow Wonderstone will process one extra item for every five.
• The Green Wonderstone will double the windmill's crafting slots, from 6 to 12.
• The Blue Wonderstone will make the windmill process items faster.
• The Purple Wonderstone will unlock special recipes in each windmill that you won't be able to craft otherwise.
